Introduction

Are you an experienced senior finance professional with a comprehensive understanding of the make-up of public sector commissioning and private healthcare funding?

Do you want to lead on financial viability of new market opportunities and lead and manage the fee uplift strategy to ensure that the right level of compensation is in place to enable our services to deliver the best care?

As Commercial Finance Director, you'll join the established and well-run finance team based at our head office in Borehamwood in a hybrid capacity, reporting to the CFO where you'll contribute towards what delivering great healthcare should feel like.

Key priorities of the role includes:

• Leading a team to deliver on the core objectives the role will work seamlessly alongside other key departments including NHS Contracts, Finance, and Business Development.
• Lead in costing tool development and new service pricing models, both with individual placement agreements and whole service development (including acquisitions).
• Financial lead on key funder negotiations and building finance-to-finance relationships.
• Reporting to Executive Board on outcomes of annual uplift negotiations and other revenue related items.
• Lead responsibility for the agreed pricing and contractual arrangements being documented and communicated to invoicing team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoicing.

You will also monitor service costs and flag anomalies where pricing may become an issue so that a proactive strategy can be put in place, implement financial modelling to support tenders and new contract opportunities, and in the future the role will expand to also oversee and manage the contracts team and contract performance from 2025.
