As we expand globally, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Director - Private Healthcare and Insurance to lead our entry into private healthcare, insurance, and employee benefits markets, complementing our established presence in the NHS.
This pivotal role reports directly to the CEO and requires a strategic, results-oriented leader with a proven track record in scaling B2B2C and B2C platforms within the private healthcare and insurance sectors. The successful candidate will design and implement commercial strategies, develop innovative pricing models, and establish partnerships that drive growth and deliver value across diverse markets. You will play a critical role in positioning C the Signs as a global leader in early cancer detection across both public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global commercial strategy for B2B2C and B2C platforms, focusing on private healthcare, insurance, and employee benefits markets.
- Identify and capitalise on growth opportunities to scale operations and expand market presence.
- Pricing Models:
- Design innovative pricing and commercial models tailored to payer plans, insurance providers, private hospitals, and corporate clients.
- Balance scalability and profitability while ensuring alignment with market needs.
- Partnership Development:
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with private hospitals, insurance providers, and corporate clients.
- Develop bespoke solutions for employee benefits platforms, showcasing the value of early cancer detection tools for employers and payers.
- Operational Scaling:
- Collaborate with the CEO to design and implement scalable commercial operations that ensure efficient delivery of the platform to private sector clients.
- Lead efforts to establish a strong presence in international markets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product, marketing, and clinical teams to align commercial goals with platform features and user needs.
- Ensure that market insights inform product development and innovation.
- Data-Driven Growth:
- Leverage market research, user data, and analytics to inform decisions and identify areas for growth.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and refine strategies.
- Revenue Growth:
- Drive ambitious revenue targets, developing strategies that support near-term growth while building long-term value.
- Industry Expertise:
- Stay informed on emerging trends in private healthcare, insurance, and digital health to ensure C the Signs remains ahead of the curve.
Requirements
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in commercial leadership roles within private healthcare, insurance, or digital health sectors.
- Proven success in creating and scaling B2B2C and B2C commercial models, with experience working with private hospitals and insurance providers.
Commercial Expertise:
- Deep understanding of pricing strategies, including risk-based pricing, subscription models, and tiered value propositions.
- Experience developing packages for employer-sponsored healthcare benefits and integrating platforms into employee benefits ecosystems.
Healthcare Knowledge:
- Strong familiarity with private healthcare markets and global insurance and payer models.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with clinicians, payers, and product teams to align commercial goals with healthcare needs.
Scaling Experience:
- Demonstrated success in scaling operations nationally and internationally, with a focus on entering new markets and optimising commercial strategies.
Strategic Thinking:
- Ability to design and execute scalable, high-growth strategies that balance innovation and operational efficiency.
- Proficient in evaluating market opportunities and building business cases for new initiatives.
Communication and Leadership:
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels.
- Comfortable collaborating with senior leadership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master's in Healthcare Management) is a plus.
