Commercial Credit Manager

The Commercial Credit Manager will work within Liquidline's busy finance department, supporting the UK and Ireland companies with overseeing the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, assessing credit risk and implementing effective credit policies.This role involves managing a team of credit controllers, liaising with clients and maintaining strong financial controls to minimize bad debt whilst supporting business growth.You will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced finance team reporting to the Finance Director. You will be responsible for your own workload and set the strategy for the credit control team.
The Role - Commercial Credit Manager

• To work closely with the sales department, updating them on key customer risks and be the point of contact internally for the Credit Control team.
• To lead on the day-to-day team management of the Credit Control team, leading by example. This will involve leading and training the team.
• To develop, implement and maintain effective credit control policies and procedures.
• To hold overall responsibility in ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, reducing overdue debt and improving cash flow cross the business.
• To maintain strong working relationships with customers. resolving disputes and negotiating payment plans where necessary.
• To prepare regular reports on accounts receivable, aged debt and bad debt provisions for senior management to review.
• To improve and implement the strategy for the Credit Control team, working towards improved efficiency and reduced credit risk.

What You Will Need In The Role Of Commercial Credit Manager

• Strong working knowledge of commercial credit control functions, with experience in accounts receivable, and financial management.
• Knowledge of the customer order to cash process from start to finish across the business, and how the finance team and other departments impact this.
• Understanding of EPR systems and modules.
• Knowledge of credit risk assessments, and financial regulations.
• Strong commercial knowledge, and decision making ability.
• Leadership skills, with strong attention to detail.
