Commercial Bid Manager

£50k - £60k per annum

East of England At Z-Tech, we are offering a dynamic and rewarding role for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Commercial Bid Manager. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in identifying and securing new opportunities, managing the bids and tender process, and driving the growth of our company. We operate in the Water, Energy, and Rail industries, creating essential client account Main Duties and Responsibilities, Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Management of the end to end bid/tender process to effectively secure new contracts to drive company growth
• Identifying new opportunities
• Developing successful bid-winning strategies
• Responding to commercial queries from clients and other stakeholders
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders including technical experts to create robust bid responses.
• Preparation and review of all commercial aspects of proposals
• Drafting and/or checking proposals
• Negotiating and agreeing new contracts and contract extensions
• Conducting monthly reviews of contract performance identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for further growth
• Assessing technical and commercial risks and opportunities and advise accordingly.
• Expanding, preserving or improving company templates, procedures, standards or policies
• Driving continuous improvement, through post-bid reviews.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

• Significant industry experience in a similar role preferable
• Competitive tendering experience
• Industry and commercial experience
• Preferably Degree qualified in relevant business discipline
• Non degree holders should have a demonstrable record of success with experience in similar roles
• Advanced literacy & communication skills
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Competent user of IT, specifically Microsoft suite of software, MS Project, MS Office
• Demonstrable experience of contract management
• Experience of managing teams and implementing structure
