Collections Manager
Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 p.a. base salary plus bonus depending on performance.
Job Type: Hybrid role, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (3 days in the office and 2 days working from home)
WeFlex is at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution - and our mission is to make electric vehicles accessible - starting with the ride-hailing market (e.g. Uber and Bolt).
We provide ride-hailing drivers with finance to purchase a range of different electric vehicles, from affordable MGs to luxury Mercedes and Teslas. We are growing at a very rapid pace (60% YOY, profitable for the last 2 years) and the fleet and customer base are growing with us, with just under 2,000 customers driving cars in our fleet and plans to double this over the next year.
We are a close-knit team of just over 50 dedicated to de-carbonising the world, starting with the taxi industry. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Collections Manager to join us in this exciting growth stage of our business and to lead our collections team in offering world-class customer experience and ensuring timely collections from our customers.
As the Collections Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading the collections team, developing and implementing strategies to optimise collections and reduce delinquency rates, and ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and in driving the company's financial success.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of collections agents both in London and offshore, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
- Develop and implement collections strategies to improve customer collections and reduce delinquency rates.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and coaching to drive results.
- Work closely with support teams to identify and resolve customer issues and escalations.
- Support the team with in office escalations that require to be solved at management level.
- Ensure compliance with FCA, TCF, AML, GDPR & PCI guidelines.
- Create and maintain operational reports and metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall customer experience and optimise collections processes.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in collections.
- Identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Manage a portfolio of customers that require weekly review
- Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to foster a positive and engaged team culture.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Credit and Collections to effectively execute forward-thinking ideas and strategy.

Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in collections, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of collections strategies and best practices.
- Proven track record of successfully managing collections teams and achieving targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements in collections, including FCA, TCF, AML, GDPR & PCI guidelines.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to track and interpret operational metrics and data.
- Proficient in using MS Office (including Excel) and CRM software.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- This is a hybrid upon successfully passing your probation.
Nice-to-have skills/knowledge:
- Experience working using Hubspot, Fleetio (fleet management system), and/or Aryza Sentinel (Anchor)
- Knowledge of electric vehicles and the ride-hailing industry
- Proficiency in Arabic, Hindi or Bengali languages
