Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7, rotational 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm
Location: Worksop, S80 3EG

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance within the Co- Pack department
• To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
• To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level
• Overseeing Health and Safety within the warehouse, to ensure a safe and compliant workplace

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Experience of leading a team, project or department within a warehouse environment - this could be gained from various roles including but not limited to Step Up Team Leader, Admin or First Line Manager roles
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of Warehouse Management systems is essential - ideally using Blue Yonder / JDA
• Experience working within a Co-Pack department is desirable, but not essential
• Change management or change process experience would be beneficial
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
