Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent
Leicester City Council's Early Help is recruiting a Cluster Manager to join our Children's Centre and Family Support service. Our overall priority is to deliver high quality childhood and family support services which improve children and young people's emotional and physical development, alongside using a team around the family approach to address issues to prevent escalation and the need for statutory service involvement.
This is full time, permanent position working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday. You'll have flexibility in hybrid working being both office based within the Children Young People and Families Centres and some working from home to meet the needs of the service.
Please note the post is based in the East Cluster of the City.
What you'll be doing
As a Cluster Manager, you will provide operational leadership to your cluster and manage multiple staff and have lead responsibility for the cluster budget. You'll oversee caseload support and the Children's Centre core offer in your cluster, working in partnership with other Cluster Managers to ensure there is a city-wide approach.
You'll lead on city wide service developments and manage the implementation of city-wide actions and improvements in your cluster. You'll provide close working links with senior managers and partner agencies, having a key responsibility to ensure the multi-agency work of the cluster is effective. You will also be involved with and have oversight of the Families First programme roleout across Leicester City.
By maintaining and being responsible for quality assurance processes, you'll ensure the services delivered have positive impact for children, young people, and families. You'll ensure training and knowledge in the cluster is current by keeping up to date with relevant local, regional, and national developments.
What you'll need
We are looking for a highly motived and inspirational Cluster Manager to lead, develop and implement service delivery outcomes in line with the Children's Centre and Family Support offer in Leicester. You will develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with peers, senior managers, and partner agencies.
The right person will have demonstrable experience of leading and delivering effective family support in a preventative or safeguarding context, as well as improving outcomes for children, young people, and families. You will have significant experience of managing staff and resources and will have previously managed oversight of caseloads.
You'll have a good understanding of the Children's Centre Core Offer and models of intervention. You will be able to compile, produce, summarise, and present statistical or technical reports as well as being able to analyse cluster data to inform your plans and priorities.
Due to the nature of this role, you'll be subject to an Enhanced Children's DBS.
What we can offer you
