• To act as a professional role model providing clinical leadership and support to clinical areas for Trust staff
• To attend and implement immediate actions is response to incidents involving security, fire, safeguarding and major incident
• To take initial actions to ensure safeguarding standards are maintained by taking appropriate actions and escalating accordingly
• To be aware and promote current infection control policy's and work closely with the IPC team to ensure control measures are maintained
• To promote collaborative working with all service lines to ensure all pathways are maintained

Essential criteria
- NMC registration
- Teaching/Education qualification or relevant experience
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of managing at ward level
- Proven staff management experience with the ability to motivate, lead and challenge
- Experience in managing patient flow within an acute setting
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of national targets in relation to Flow and capacity
- Strong, professional leadership qualities, assertive and self-confident
- Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative and prioritise workload appropriately to meet tight deadlines
