Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Hold a current registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Nurse. RN3, RNMH, RN4, RN5, RN6, RNLD.
Desirable criteria
- Masters Degree or equivalent experience
- ENB 770 or equivalent
- ENB 998 or45
- Teaching Qualification
- NVQ Assessor
- Relevant post registration health care and/or management qualifications
Experience
Essential criteria
- First line management experience.
- Two years' experience as Band 6 in Mental Health Care inpatient services.
- Experience of providing management supervision.
- Experience as Primary Nurse
Desirable criteria
- Experience of leading teambuilding.
- Experience in teaching/developing nurses.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Good leadership skills
- Able to deal with complex inter-related information and activities
- Excellent team player and ability to facilitate partnership working
- Budget and resource management understanding
- Through personal actions provide innovative practice role model
- Competent in receiving and providing clinical supervision
- Facilitates contributions from all staff.
