About Us
Tay Valley Vets is an established, purpose-built, RCVS-accredited small animal practice with a reputation for excellent patient care and a genuinely positive working environment.
You will be joining:
• A friendly and collaborative team of experienced Vets
• A highly capable team of RVNs who keep the practice running smoothly
• A practice that values communication, teamwork and high clinical standards
Our Facilities
Our well-equipped practice includes:
• Six consult rooms
• Imaging suite
• Dedicated dental suite including dental X-ray
• Two theatres
• Endoscope
• Multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring
• Full in-house laboratory (bloods, urinalysis and cytology)
• Visiting specialists in orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery
If you have a particular clinical interest or wish to pursue a certificate, we are ready to support you.
The Role - Clinical Director
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Vet who:
• Enjoys leading and developing a team
• Wants to play a key role in the strategic direction of the practice
• Values strong client relationships and excellent clinical care
• Is ready to take on management responsibilities alongside clinical work
You will oversee clinical standards, support colleagues, and help guide the practice's future while maintaining hands-on involvement in day-to-day veterinary work.
Working Pattern
• 1:5 OOH rota, with:
- A day off after a weeknight on-call
- A long weekend following a weekend on-call
• Average of 29 hours per week on day shifts after TOIL
• Nurses onsite 24/7 for emergency support, triage and inpatient care
• Well-managed diary structure:
- 15-minute standard appointments
- Longer appointments for complex cases
- Dedicated catch-up time daily
- Protected emergency slots
