Client Services Manager

Kennedys is looking for a Client Services Manager to join the Kennedys Client Services team which is part of the Business Development Department and also reports into the Kennedys Liability Defence Partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Client Relationship Partners and others in managing the quality and performance of a select number of insurer clients' contracts.

The successful candidate will report to and work collaboratively with the Head of Client Services. The Manager will be expected to also establish and maintain good working relationships with:

  • Client Relationship Partners
  • Lawyers and team managers
  • Kennedys Relationship Management team and other BD colleagues in UK and across the globe
  • Pursuits team
  • Business Services managers, such as those working in Finance, Client Reporting and Insights, Risk & Compliance, Knowledge and Corporate & Public Affairs teams.

Team

Kennedys' Client Services team promotes Kennedys services to deliver quality work in line with contractual requirements. It maintains and grows client relationships and supports the Firm's global growth ambition.

This role is part of the Business Development Department.

There are four distinct global functions: Pursuits, Clients and Markets, Marketing & Communications and Marketing Technology & Data. These functions support the BD&M activity across five regions - APAC, EMEA, LATAM, UK and the US.

Key responsibilities

  • Support Client Relationship Partners in delivering excellent service to our insurer clients in line with and going above and beyond contractual requirements
  • Become the alternative point of contact for the client to assist in promptly resolving any issues raised
  • Understand the client, its values, business and structure. Share client knowledge across Kennedys' teams including contractual requirements and SLAs
  • Develop trusted and lasting relationships with clients' legal supply chain teams and claims managers
  • Collaborate with BD to ensure CRPs are prepared for client meetings and attend client review meetings as required
  • Assist BD counterparts in identifying opportunities to grow the Firm's revenue with each allocated client account

Required experience

  • Previous experience as a fee earner including some client facing activities within a global law firm or insurance organisation
  • Knowledge of the insurance sector
  • Knowledge of claims handling and litigation
  • Ability to understand and contribute to the improvement of client MI capture and provision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise workloads, manage multiple projects and negotiate deadlines
