About the role.
The Client Services Director (CSD) is a central leadership role in our agency, responsible for developing trusted relationships with senior clients, leading our Account Management team, and driving both project excellence and business growth.
As a hands-on leader, you will guide the team while also directly engaging in client work, helping us exceed expectations and build client loyalty.
Your Role in Our Success
Client Relationship Management:
- Build relationships with senior clients, understanding their business objectives and industry landscapes.
- Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of high-value clients, ensuring their needs are met and projects align with their goals.
- Lead regular client meetings and business reviews to ensure client satisfaction and promote trust.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand accounts and drive new business.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and mentor our Account Management team, fostering high performance and accountability.
- Oversee team workloads and resource allocation to ensure efficient, timely project delivery.
- Promote professional growth, keeping the team informed of content marketing strategies and industry best practices.
Process Management (where a Project Manager isn't assigned):
- Ensure the end-to-end delivery of client projects, managing timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
- Collaborate with strategy and content teams to deliver work that meets client objectives.
- Monitor project performance, analyse results, and make improvements to enhance client satisfaction and service quality.
- Address and resolve any client concerns or project challenges proactively.
Business Development and Growth:
- Work closely with senior leadership to identify and drive new business opportunities, participating in pitches and expanding our client portfolio.
- Contribute to proposals, pricing strategies, and project scopes in line with agency growth objectives.
- Stay informed on industry trends, offering forward-thinking solutions to keep our agency competitive.
The Skills & Experience That Matter
- Significant experience in client services or account management, ideally within a content or digital agency.
- Proven history in managing large accounts and fostering client relationships.
- Strong leadership abilities with a background in mentoring teams.
- Excellent project management skills, focusing on deadlines, budgets, and quality outcomes.
- Capable of balancing managerial responsibilities with hands-on content strategy and execution.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and people skills.
- Adaptable to a demanding environment with competing priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with B2B or B2C clients across various industries.
- Proficiency in content management systems, project management tools, and digital analytics.
- Familiarity with the creative development process, from brief writing to content production.
