Position: Relationship Manager - Contractors

Location: London

Primary Function: As the Relationship Manager for contractors within our Key Client Program, you will play a crucial role in driving exceptional client experiences and fostering growth opportunities for GHD. Your focus will be on cultivating strong relationships with contractors, representing their interests internally, and leading initiatives to enhance collaboration and value delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement and Growth:

  • Identify, cultivate, and expand relationships with contractors, aiming to secure and grow a significant pipeline of work.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth plan, leveraging CX tools to enhance client experiences and drive sustainable growth.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with contractors, supply chain partners, and key decision-makers to enhance brand recognition and reputation.
  • Drive financial performance by setting ambitious goals, monitoring data to inform investment decisions, and achieving growth targets.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead a dedicated team focused on addressing the needs and challenges of contractors, ensuring alignment with client engagement best practices.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion effective client engagement practices and serve as a mentor to the next generation of client leaders within the organization.

Market Insights and Strategy:

  • Stay abreast of market and client drivers, contributing insights and analysis to inform GHD's response strategies.
  • Lead external campaigns, content, and events aimed at enhancing GHD's brand recognition and reputation among contractors and industry stakeholders.
  • Participate in project acquisition activities, providing guidance on contractor preferences and representing their interests in strategic decision-making processes.

Performance Metrics: Your success will be measured by various key performance indicators, including client engagement metrics, growth in the pipeline of work, strength of relationships, winning work metrics, sustainable growth indicators, delivery excellence, and skill development milestones.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in forming strong and collaborative relationships with contractors or similar stakeholders in the market.
  • Leadership experience on major client accounts, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines effectively.
  • Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, particularly in understanding client needs and implementing CX processes and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suites and CRM technology, preferably Salesforce.
