Earlswood Veterinary, an RCVS-accredited general and referral hospital in Belfast, is seeking an experienced and proactive Client Finance Manager to join our dedicated team. This is a key role within the practice, ensuring the effective management of client finance from initial consultation to final payment.

About the Role

As Client Finance Manager, you will:

* Implement and oversee debt management protocols to meet KPIs and control outstanding payments.

* Support and guide client-facing staff in financial discussions, ensuring adherence to established protocols to minimize 30-day+ debt.

* Collaborate with clinical, finance, and admin teams to ensure smooth invoice generation, insurance claim submissions, and receipt of payments within agreed terms.

* Monitor client payment responsibilities, providing clear communication and addressing any concerns sensitively.

* Regularly present detailed debt and financial reports to the management team.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a candidate with proven experience in debt management, excellent communication skills, and a professional yet empathetic approach to client interactions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and possess strong time management and organiszational abilities.

Essential Criteria:

* A qualification in finance, accounting, credit control, or a related field or a qualification relevant to the role (e.g., practice management) with extended experience in finance, debt management or credit control

* At least two years of experience in a finance, debt management, or credit control role.

* Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office or equivalent tools.

* A confident and professional demeanour.

Desirable Criteria:

* Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CICM).

* Experience in a clinical or veterinary background.

Working Pattern

This is a full-time position, offering 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. There are no weekend or on-call duties.
