We're hiring a Data Lead as part of our London based team on a hybrid working basis

Role Purpose

Dentsu is hiring a Data Lead to drive and deliver excellence in automated reporting.

This role will be responsible for Kellanova's media planning and performance data, ensuring that the agency delivers clean, accurate data with maximum efficiency for use by the client and agency teams.

The Data Lead will report directly to the Global Head of Data and Tech Operations, with a dotted line to the UK Client team.

Key responsibilities

  • Owns Kellanova data requirements (e.g. KPI framework, use cases, data schema) for media reporting, analytics and visualisation
  • Facilitates the delivery of all reporting needs, ensuring these are standardised and aligned with the Kellanova Europe clients, including any global requirements
  • Maintains and evolves the data, reporting and analytics use cases for the Kellanova client, ensuring that documentation regarding data sources and user stories is always kept up to date and accurate
  • Owns the data model and the data dictionary for the account
  • Owns and implements the Kellanova taxonomy end to end across the media planning and buying process, including interdependencies with creative and owned communication channels and platforms
  • Role models best in class capability for media and creative reporting and analytics automation
  • Partners with the agency Kellanova account team, Data and Technology and Product teams to ensure that all use cases are integrated and evolving, bringing in new capabilities and data sources to deliver additional value
  • Builds senior, influential and trusted relationships with senior clients, identifying and delivering opportunities for organic and new business growth
  • Orchestrates and brings together an integrated data proposition for Kellanova through the generation of business insights that drive new value for media, content and production

Skills/Qualifications

Essential:

  • Extensive digital media operations experience in agencies, digital platforms or programmatic networks
  • Strong experience and understanding of digital media platforms (GMP, Flashtalking, Adform; web analytics tools such as GA, Adobe; DCO; DMPs, CDPs, audience management), media plan management systems (for example Guideline, mediatool, Redmill) and BI platforms (Power BI, Salesforce Datorama/Tableau, Looker Studio)
  • Experience in supporting and leading the identification, formation and deployment of new processes
  • Experience with building maintaining and governing taxonomies and nomenclature for clients
  • Experience managing digital / reporting projects with multiple stakeholders of various levels across multiple geographies
  • Ability to clearly understand client objectives and to map these across digital media platforms and operations configurations and workflows
  • Senior client-facing experience and executive presence
  • Strong communicator - able to face into both technical and non-technical teams, acting as a conduit and facilitator
  • Excellent written and spoken communication, thorough maintenance of documentation,
  • A super collaborator who builds influence through relationships

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in Data Transformation & ETL Pipelines - ability to work with ETL tools (Databricks, BigQuery, Alteryx) and workflows to standardise and optimize data pipelines for reporting and analytics
  • SQL and Database Management - basic understanding of SQL for querying, managing, and optimising data in relational databases; experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake) would be an advantage
  • Data QA & Validation - ability to define and implement robust quality control processes for data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Experience in reconciling, debugging, and validating large datasets across multiple sources to align with client expectations. Ability to build and maintain data validation dashboards to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies before delivery
