Role Purpose

This role is split 50/50 across 2 accounts, Kellanova and Arla.

Kellanova

Kellanova are one Carat's largest clients, with many leading household brands such as Coco Pops, Cornflakes, Special K, and Pringles. The Carat London hub manages €90m+ of spend across Europe, with centralised strategy and planning and local execution. Kellanova are at the forefront of strategy and digital excellence, and we work closely with them across many channels, including TV/VOD, OOH, Online Video, Paid Social, Custom Partnerships, & Influencer Programs.

This part of the role is in the EU Market Planning team on the Cheez Its (within the 'Salty Snacks') business unit. Cheez Its are a key new snacks launch for Kellanova. The role is primarily focused on briefing local market and central digital buying teams on the central media strategy, ensuring that strategy is reflected in the detailed media plans that are built, supporting these local and central teams toward timely campaign launches, and monitoring pacing & performance throughout.

Arla

Arla is a multinational cooperative and the largest dairy in the UK, with many leading brands such as Lurpak, Cravendale, Anchor, amongst many others. Having recently retained the Arla business across the UK and many European countries, it is a great time to be joining one of Carat's most long-standing clients. The UK alone is responsible for more than £20m of billings and each market is responsible for brand strategies, planning, and execution in each of their territories. As a business, Arla is at the forefront of strategic excellence and is set for a game-changing 2023 with continued investment into growing media channels and looking to meet the demands of evolving consumer habits and tastes as well as macro-economic challenges around the cost-of-living that affect their business directly. From all perspectives, it is an exciting time to be joining the account.

This role is in the UK Account team working across all of Arla's business units with a focus on their flagship brands. This is a critical role to the day-to-day running of the Arla Carat business, and you will take responsibility for ensuring brilliant client service from the team while leading the planning on local brands and ensuring central strategy is implemented in the UK.

What you'll do

  • Work closely with Comms Planning Client Director & Planning Partner to ensure media strategy is delivered within the detailed media plans
  • Brief in local markets and the central digital team and sense-check plans vs. briefed strategy
  • Work in collaboration with Kellanova central media team and deliver strong, proactive client service
  • Ensure masterplans and central reporting dashboard is up to date
  • Organise and run mid-campaign performance reporting & optimisation calls (KUBEs)
  • Line management of an EU Manager and an Account Executive

Qualifications

  • You will have experience of managing markets across Europe, coupled with planning expertise to ensure they can review detailed plans for quality assurance & strategic integrity
  • TV & Digital are priority channels within Kellogg's media, so a background in Digital & TV media planning would be helpful
  • Ability to multitask & manage the delivery of multiple workstreams through effective mobilisation of dentsu resources / people to meet client expectations
  • Responding in a timely and accurate manner to client requests for information, working seamlessly to manage & mobilize internal stakeholders and colleagues across dentsu to address Kellanova's requests
  • Demonstrate the ability to cultivate strong relationships across dentsu OpCos to ensure that work is delivered accurately & on time
