We're currently hiring a Client Account director to be based out of London office.

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to drive business growth by unlocking the client's business opportunity and Dentsu capability, to deliver outstanding client service, innovative and ambitious client solutions which have business value to clients at the heart.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on Carat's key film studio client Lionsgate.

Lionsgate is a mini-major film studio and distributor working within the fun and glitz of the entertainments industry. After a few covid impacted years Lionsgate have come back with a bang, last year releasing some fan favourite titles such as John Wick 4, SawX and The Hunger Games. They are a fast-paced client with a busy slate of releases lined up across 2024, so we are keen to bring in a strong planner who can work efficiently and juggle multiple campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivers innovative and ambitious, strategic, and commercial solutions that balance client and agency values working closely with colleagues and clients
  • Owns relationships with mid-level clients on a day-to-day basis
  • Builds strong client relationships as a trusted advisor with senior client and industry stakeholders
  • Deepens the relationship to ensure retention and growth
  • Manages team to ensure they also build strong relationships with their counterparts to deliver outstanding client service
  • Immerses self and team in clients' business: understanding their challenges, objectives, external economic environment, markets they operate in, competitive threats and relevant partner agencies; knows their business model, how it is performing and what success looks like; knows client's products inside out and applies this knowledge to deliver innovative, ambitious client plans and service.
  • Creates the conditions for great work and champion's great work.
  • Works seamlessly with other OPCOS and broader agency teams to ensure best in class delivery.
  • Uses account plans to stimulate and track future work; manages resources effectively.
  • Understands client commercial framework and works with senior account leadership to ensure business is run profitably.
  • Improves client satisfaction to expand existing revenue streams and build new ones.
  • Manages systems for forecasting accurate spend and track progress.
  • Translates agency strategy into innovative, execution-able business plans for own client that deliver business value.
  • Identifies business development opportunities (current and new clients) - use knowledge of Dentsu products and services to influence and contribute to innovative, ambitious and value drive solutions.

Essential skills

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a strong in interest in strategy and audiences and who is motivated at the idea of working with fresh film genres on a brief-by-brief basis. The role offers great opportunity for integrated client servicing and innovative, creative planning with support from the Client Director. We are looking for someone who enjoys a fast-paced working environment with strong attention to detail and is experienced in multitasking.

  • Good all-round client knowledge
  • Good overall knowledge of Dentsu products and services
  • Commercial Acumen
  • Strong planning experience across POEM
  • Excellent communicator: verbal, written, presentation, listening skills with internal and external stakeholders both senior and junior.
  • High level of attention to detail with all output
