We're currently recruiting for a Childline Team Manager in Childline Leeds.

We're currently recruiting for a full time, fixed term maternity cover Childline Team Manager in Leeds. This would be until the end of August 2025.

You will be part of the wider Childline Management team, and work alongside other managers to provide exceptional leadership and support to the Childline Practitioners in Prestatyn.

You will use excellent management and organisational skills to lead the day to day operational delivery of the Childline Universal and Connect services in Prestatyn. You will hold key responsibility for on-shift safeguarding decisions, ensuring best outcomes for children and young people. You will play a key role in ensuring high quality service to every child through our quality assurance, feedback and supervision processes. You will support our teams to achieve our aims of being there for every child or young person who wants to use our services. You will coordinate the live service to ensure we are there for children.

You will have the chance to personally make a positive difference for thousands of children and young people every year.

We support hundreds of thousands of children all over the UK every year. As a Childline Team Manager you will manage this vital service alongside a committed and dedicated team who will share your values of supporting children and young people.

You will work a hybrid rota which includes the majority of working time during office hours, Monday to Friday, and the options to flex the days you work from home to suit the needs of your team. Within this rota, you will contribute to a consistent balance of morning, daytime and evening duty shifts, coordinating the live national service. This averages 6 duty shifts a month and includes working one in every five weekends on average. You will also take part in our on-call rota, averaging 1 on-call night every 5 weeks.

Every Childline Team Manager receives a 3.5% rota allowance on top of their basic salary. You can see an example rota for this role attached to this advert.

  • Has a strong background working with children and young people within a safeguarding context
  • Is an excellent manager of people, with clear leadership skills
  • Believes in our cause, our mission, and wants to help us be there for all children and young people
  • Has a passion for supporting others, especially in situations which can be emotionally challenging
