About The Role

The Islington Collaboration Action Network (I-CAN) has a new management opportunity for a Deputy Team Manager. The postholder will focus on the data analysis of Child Exploitation and Group/Gang based offending, whilst also providing management oversight of casework and specialist staff.

The post holder will undertake mapping and analysis on a wide range of issues related to children and young people at risk of involvement in and exploitation by criminally active groups operating in and around the London Borough of Islington and beyond. This will contribute to the development of crime reduction strategies for Islington.

The post holder will be responsible for collating and disseminating information and intelligence relating to group related behaviour amongst the wider partnership, working to reduce serious group offending. This will contribute to the contextual safeguarding of children and young adults at risk of exploitation and criminal activity in the borough.

The postholder will also have management oversight of a caseload of children and young people and assist with the provision of leadership and supervision for the specialist workers within I-CAN. This will involve demonstrating expertise to statutory, voluntary and private sector partners to carry out I-CAN's functions in relation to victims, offenders and the wider community.

The role also involves building effective and creative relationships with key partners such as Education, Youth Employment and Advice services, Children's Social Care, CAMHS, Police, Probation, , Housing, Family Services, Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector, Adult and Substance Misuse services.
