The Opportunity

This pivotal role will help EDF R UK&I achieve ambitious growth by enabling effective scaling and aligning a multi-year improvement programme with our strategic goals.

You'll lead a comprehensive Lean programme to boost business performance and growth, while mentoring and coaching teams to build lasting Lean capabilities. As a trusted advisor to leadership, you'll guide them in driving impactful change across their areas of the business, ensuring key process, behavioural, and organisational improvements are identified and delivered.

By applying change methodologies, including Lean, you'll drive rapid improvement activities that deliver significant business outcomes. Beyond delivering immediate value, you'll embed change skills across all levels, building a strong, enduring capability for ongoing transformation.

This role combines accelerating improvement with reducing the cost of achieving it, ensuring EDFR UK&I stays future-ready and primed for continuous success.

What you'll be doing

As Change Manager you'll define, build and mature our improvement system (skills, process and behaviours) to deliver impactful change at the right level of the organisation, resulting in cost efficiency and productivity improvements.

  1. Engage, coach and train leaders (including executive) to participate and engage with the improvement system, reinforcing accountability at the right level of the organisation with a clear view of the golden thread from our business objectives, through the change deliverables, capturing the Return on Investment
  2. Run the annual cycle with the executive and LT to identify and define a multi year transformation programme, including breakthroughs (facilitating the Planning into Action executive workshops).
  3. Deliver significant steps changes within the business through the application of lean tools, including value stream analysis, rapid improvement events and daily improvement.
  4. Build, develop and manage a team of lean specialists, who themselves can coach at a senior level of the organisation and drive improvements.
  5. Capture and tell the positive stories around our transformational and continuous improvement journey, bringing to life the role that each person in the business needs to have in our future success
  6. Engage teams to implement daily improvement, leading our people to continuously improve as part of their day-job, with the skills and attitude to succeed;
  7. Coach teams to drive out non-quality (waste) to substantially improve performance, increasing productivity and effectiveness, with high levels of staff engagement maintained., with a focus on the end to end value streams in our business.

What do you need to be great at this role?

You'll be educated to degree level or a demonstration of ability to the same level delivered in a working
environment.

Qualified Lean and/or Six Sigma practitioner, with experience of implementation of these skills across broad and complex organisations.
