Change Manager

We're looking for an experienced Change Manager to join our growing Transformation & Projects team at Burges Salmon, working on a hybrid basis from our Bristol office. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we expand our team and continue to look for innovative ways to improve our internal processes and client offering; this role forms a key part of the journey.

Working alongside our Change Team Manager, Transformation & Projects Coordinator and wider team, you will play a key role in steering the firm through periods of change, implementing change management methodologies to minimise disruption and drive adoption. You will have every opportunity to make an impact, supporting on exciting projects in our growing portfolio, ranging from IT, business change and legal service delivery projects.

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver change programmes or workstreams aligned with business needs.
  • Develop and refine change management methodologies and tools.
  • Conduct change impact and readiness assessments.
  • Manage change plans: communication, training, resistance management, and coaching.
  • Collaborate with SMEs in Digital Learning, Marketing, Technology, Innovation, and Communications.
  • Design and manage coaching approaches, including Champions programmes.
  • Facilitate workshops on resistance management and benefits realisation.
  • Engage with stakeholders to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Monitor and report on change initiatives, making necessary adjustments.
  • Promote the benefits of change and address resistance.
  • Measure benefits post-deployment, focusing on adoption, proficiency, utilisation, and ROI.
  • Assist the Change Team Manager in developing our overall change strategy and approach

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in change management, ideally in professional services.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Prosci, APMG) are desirable.
