Job Description
The Change Communications Manager is responsible for implementing communication strategies that support major change programmes across Heathrow. The role ensures that all relevant audiences are informed, engaged and aligned with programme objectives, enabling smooth adoption of change in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Operating as a communications professional anchored to the central communications function, the role provides dedicated support to capital programmes focused on transforming and enhancing Heathrow
Responsibilities
- Work with the central internal communications team, programme teams, business change leads and key stakeholders to develop a clear programme communication strategy and plan that communicates progress and change initiatives effectively.
- Align programme-specific communication plans with the Heathrow strategy to ensure cohesive messaging for all stakeholders and a consistent employee experience.
- Manage the delivery of communication plans for your owned initiatives, tailoring strategies and content to the needs of different audiences within Team Heathrow.
- Maximise opportunities to create dialogue with colleagues and the wider Team Heathrow - working with stakeholders to adapt approach, messaging and communications based on feedback.
- Measure and review the impact of communications activity, using data and feedback to refine and adjust the change communications approach.
- Partner with your programme team and key stakeholders to bring new ways of working, innovative practices and development opportunities to life for colleagues across Heathrow.
Qualifications
- Proven mid-level internal communications and engagement experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to flex your style to work with multiple audience groups - from senior stakeholder to front-line colleagues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using end-to-end communication channels, tools and platforms (Viva Engage, Presentations, Survey Platforms, SharePoint, etc).
- Ability to think creatively and strategically and apply it to deliver successful communication strategies.
- Experience measuring success through integrated and complex data-sets to provide critical data-led change and communications benchmarks.

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
