About Us

In this role you will be responsible for developing, managing and driving forward the plan for the continuous transformation and improvement of the Adults Social Care service in line with local and national strategies such as the Richmond and Wandsworth Shared Services Arrangements (SSA), the Care Act, the Adult Social Care Reform White Paper and Quality Assurance Framework.

You will maintain oversight of all Adults Social Care initiatives and projects, identifying interdependencies, overlaps and conflicts between operational initiatives to ensure strategic alignment for the division.

About the role

You will lead on the delivery of change and best practice development and support the framework & governance for continual improvement in operational delivery of services. You will play a key role in service improvement and the implementation of change programmes.

Key functions of the role include:

To develop and lead the plan for the continuous transformation and improvement of Adult Social Care Services, working closely with the Principal Social Worker and Senior Managers to develop best practice, producing reports and updates as required.

To work with other senior managers to embed a culture of continuous improvement, learning and development.

To work with individual teams identifying areas of excellence to be disseminated more widely across the service.

To work creatively with teams to develop high standards of delivery

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

A relevant professional qualification in social work

A management/leadership qualification, e.g. ILM

Basic knowledge of Project Management principles and processes

Demonstrable experience in leading the implementing change within the workplace, e.g. implementation of new processes and/or practices in a team or across a division or organization

Strong communication skills both verbal and written e.g. able to produce clear and concise reports and letters.

The ability to present project information clearly and succinctly including progress, risks & issues clearly for a range of audiences.
