Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Northumbria University's Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Citizen-Centred AI (CCAI) is one of 12 new UKRI-funded CDTs which aim to train the next generation of UK researchers in the applications and implications of AI. Drawing on the university's research expertise in areas including Digital Civics, AI, Ethics & Law and Interaction Design, the CDT will train five cohorts of such researchers, over a period of 8.5 years, to place citizens at the centre of the design and development of AI applications and services. This is a substantial and exciting investment from UKRI and, as such, the Centre requires significant management and leadership deployment. We are currently seeking a pro-active, effective, and reliable individual to manage and lead the operational delivery of the Centre.

More information about the Centre and its activities can be found on the Centre website.

Further information is available in the job description.

This role is fixed term for the duration of the Centre (8.5 years). If you would like an informal discussion about the role please contact the Centre Director, Prof Shaun Lawson at shaun.lawson@northumbria.ac.uk.
