The Centre Compliance Manager ensures that all instances of Maladministration and Malpractice are investigated thoroughly to ensure that our certificates are valid and reliable. Having experience in compliance, quality assurance and investigations/case management is essential, as you will work to ensure that all identified instances of maladministration and malpractice are handled correctly.
This role involves building relationships across the business, especially with our External Quality Assurance Team, and with other awarding organisations to share information and ensure centre compliance. The role helps support our drive for constant improvement and focuses on meeting our regulatory requirements, whilst maintaining the highest standards and customer service.
This role requires an absolute dedication to quality, with the ability to manage effective and efficient investigations and maintain very high standards. Additionally, the successful applicant will join a team that has huge potential and, as TQUK continues to grow, gives the right individual the opportunity to grow and shape the Centre Compliance function.

Key responsibilities
- Manage the investigation of all instances of maladministration and malpractice
- Maintain oversight of investigations into maladministration and malpractice to ensure they are completed in line with expectations and policies
- Monitor and maintain centre and training provider sanctions in line with TQUK's policies and procedures
- Resolve complex and/or escalated issues
- Produce reports for the Head of Regulatory Compliance in relation to team performance.
- Brief the Head of Regulatory Compliance on centre-compliance-related updates and issues
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of maladministration and malpractice within the education sector to ensure TQUK stays proactive in its approach
- Monitor actions that have been issued to recognised centres and support the sanction escalation process with detailed information and reports
- Support the EQA Team with standardisation and training meetings for TQUK's team of EQAs by identifying trends in maladministration and malpractice, and providing feedback
- Attend centres and training providers to investigate instances of maladministration and malpractice, where appropriate
- Act as liaison on Centre Compliance matters with the wider business
- Support teams to understand their roles and responsibilities in relation to malpractice and maladministration
- Efficiently and accurately use applications to plan, support and produce accurate and timely reports on maladministration and malpractice.
- Manage the effective use of Compliance Team resources to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Monitor adherence to budgets, making suitable decisions and recommendations about allocation of resources as required.

- Work with the Head of Regulatory Compliance to ensure the department's views, needs, resources and risks are properly represented at a senior level.
- Make authoritative, consistent, and consequential decisions relating to areas of responsibility.
- Drive a commitment culture, modelling, enforcing and recognising key non-negotiable behaviours in self and others.
- Anticipate economic, social, political, environmental and technological developments to keep activity relevant and targeted.
- Create policies, plans and service provision to meet TQUK needs based on up-to-date knowledge.
- Ensure an in-depth and evolving understanding of the broad range of customer requirements is embedded in TQUK.
- Drive and deliver a culture that emphasises continuous improvement, efficiency and value for money.
- Understand the regulatory position of the organisation and frame all decisions in own area of responsibility within the scope of regulatory requirements.
- Take responsibility for compliance of own department, reporting, escalating, monitoring and resolving issues and making improvements as required.
- Develop, implement, maintain and review systems and service standards to provide quality, efficiency and value for money.
- Be prepared to represent Training Qualification UK at various forums and meetings where input is required.
- Undertake other duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business as required.
Desirable
- It would be beneficial if you hold or are working towards the Level 4 Award in External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice or equivalent qualification, or be prepared to work towards achieving it.
