Job Description

We're looking for experienced Cash Store Operations Manager to join our thriving Team. You'll be accountable for our end-to-end Cash Operations Creation and management of all cash related SOP's, Operating Manual, Reporting and Learning. You'll also look at the analysis of Cash and till information and work with stores to improve accuracy and loss.

Key accountabilities, responsibilities, and measures

  • Own and deliver a roadmap to simplify and processes and improve results.
  • Drive improved performance in Cash Operations.
  • Communicate cash losses and key indicators or process or performance succinctly and appropriately with stakeholders.
  • Engage and educate colleagues to drive One Best Way Cash processes
  • Develop strong relationships & work collaboratively with all teams who will be part of your success in the roll, including teams in Central Store Operations, Business Services, Digital and Tech Product and the wider Group Asset Protection team.
  • Understand retail industry developments and opportunities both in tech and process opportunities but also trends in scams to enhance M&S' capabilities around cash accuracy and loss.
  • Develop trial propositions to enhance M&S' future options for investment in the cash space.
  • Reduce cash loss and improve efficiency as an output of the above.

Key Technical skills

  • Expert knowledge of current admin processes to identify opportunities.
  • Able to deliver consistently high cash operational standards through the application of policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Able to analyse data and problem solve through the use spreadsheets and other software, to measure, monitor and improve cash operational security deliverables
  • Able to deliver relevant, timely and effective cash operational support across all stores
  • Effective communication skills, enabling you to work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand pain points and solutions.
  • Able to identify key risks to the business and provide proportionate solutions to mitigate
  • Strong business partner management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence.
  • Able to present clearly and succinctly cash risks to senior stakeholders
  • Able to prioritise workload and deliver to critical path timings
  • Able to facilitate training workshops
