Job Title: Health & Wellbeing Lead

Location: Washington, Tyne & Wear; Radway Green, Crewe; or Glascoed, South Wales

Salary: £53,927

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing workplace wellbeing strategies by working alongside key stakeholders to create and implement wellbeing strategies aligned with business objectives, risk areas, and compliance requirements
  • Driving Occupational Health governance, ensuring compliance with legal, company, and industry standards in occupational health policies, processes, and governance frameworks
  • Overseeing external Occupational Health service providers by monitoring performance against agreements, ensuring alignment with business policies, and maintaining effective service delivery
  • Promoting wellbeing through thoughtfully designed and inclusive programs that focus on mental health, flexible working practices, intergenerational support, and empowering individuals at every career stage
  • Enhancing employee wellbeing and fostering engagement by creating inclusive support models, evaluating their impact, and promoting initiatives through diverse campaigns, inclusive events, and accessible communications
  • Engaging with senior leaders, HR, internal communications, and external providers to drive workplace wellbeing
  • Leading psychosocial risk assessments and health maturity matrix evaluations to continuously improve employee wellbeing

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Have a recognised professional registered Health & Wellbeing qualification or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of KPIs, SLAs, and contractual agreements along with experience of upholding these
  • Ability to take raw data and analyse (KPIs), and turn these into actionable tasks
  • Effective communicator with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels

Desirable:

  • Experience in a similar role with a focus on Health & Wellbeing/Occupational Health

The Central SHE team:

Join a dynamic team driving workplace wellbeing and occupational health. Work with site SHE teams, Occupational Health, and Procurement while engaging externally with parties, allowing you to gain significant exposure across the business. Reporting to the Central SHE Governance and Systems Manager, you’ll help shape new contracts, standardisation, and wellbeing strategy.
