Salary: Starting Salary is £40,777 (Level one) rising to £44,075 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

About the Role
As Cemetery Manager, you will lead the operational management of both active and closed cemeteries across Nottingham. You'll ensure services are delivered with dignity and professionalism, manage statutory compliance, and promote biodiversity and sustainability across cemetery sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage frontline cemetery staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Ensure legal compliance with burial and public health funeral legislation.
- Oversee funeral arrangements, liaising with mourners, clergy, and funeral directors.
- Promote biodiversity and environmental stewardship across cemetery sites.
- Manage procurement, contracts, and equipment for cemetery operations.
- Lead health and safety compliance, including audits, risk assessments, and training.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
• You will be an experienced service leader with:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience in contract management and procurement.
- A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification (will be provided)
