Are you a celebrity booker with a background in entertainment TV and/or journalism, with an abundance of guest ideas and contacts? If your answer is yes, we have a fantastic opportunity to join Good Morning Britain, the nation's most talked about breakfast show.

You will be a key member of our busy Entertainment team, tasked with securing exclusive interviews and guests, ahead of the competition.

Drawing on your established contacts, while also fostering new relationships with PRs, you'll be required to book A-list stars and household names; those in the news, in promotion, or simply with a good human interest story to tell.

The successful applicant will have vast experience in booking celebrity guests and working on a daily live show. You must have a proven track record of securing scoops, developing stories, dealing with production demands independently, and working as part of a team. You must also have excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and within Ofcom guidelines.

GMB is on air five days a week, so whilst flexibility is required, your usual working week will be Monday to Friday 9.30am to 6.30pm, you will be required to work Sunday to Thursday every 4 to 5 weeks and working bank holidays is standard unless you take them as annual leave. (NB: You will have the equivalent of 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays added to your allowance)

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

• Previous experience as a Booker, Journalist and/or Talent/Celebrity/Entertainment Producer
• An established list of contacts
• Experience in print, radio or TV
• Experience of working on a fast-turnaround show

Other things we're looking for (key criteria)

• A persuasive negotiator, confident at securing deals
• Knowledge of entertainment, popular culture, and current affairs
• Pre and post-production experience (an Avid and iNews user ideally)
• Careful listening, sensitive question-posing, and attentive timing are the necessary skills for conducting research chats, which should then be used for shaping briefs, scripts and agenda-setting interviews
• Diplomacy, able to balance demands of production with demands of celebrities or agents
• Experience of exclusives, published or transmitted
• Highly organised, efficient and able to multitask
• Problem solving and the ability to anticipate problems and find solutions before managing up to line manager
• Evidence of editorial judgement and knowing what fits GMB, and to suggest and book celebrities accordingly
• Working to tight deadlines
• Use of social media as a tool for stories and guest ideas
• Able to find news-reactive guests, not relying on promo talent
• The highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of Legal Compliance procedures
• Good interpersonal skills and team player
