About this Role

Contract: Voluntary (with optional paid opportunities fortrips and training)

Hours: (Tuesdays 3:15-4:30pm required); additional hoursfor events/training

Start date: ASAP

Role Purpose:

To support the deliveryof the Brompton Academy Combined Cadet Force (CCF) programme by engaging withstudents, assisting in training sessions, and helping to organise and deliver arange of activities. Volunteers contribute to developing students' confidence,leadership, and life skills in a fun, structured, and supportive environment.

KeyResponsibilities:
• Supportweekly cadet training sessions in areas such as military knowledge, navigation,first aid, and adventure training.
• Mentorcadets, helping them to develop personal and interpersonal skills, includingteamwork, discipline, and leadership.
• Participatein or help coordinate exciting outdoor challenges and training courses (e.g.kayaking, mountain biking, leadership development).
• Supportthe logistics and organisation of events, including weekend camps and trips.
• Promote apositive, inclusive, and safe environment for all cadets.
• Work aspart of the CCF team to plan, deliver, and evaluate the cadet programme.
• Maintainprofessional relationships with students, staff, and other volunteers.

PersonSpecification:

Essential:
• Enthusiasmfor working with young people.
• Commitmentto supporting cadet activities, especially on Tuesday afternoons.
• Willingnessto learn and take part in training (full training is provided).
• Goodcommunication and interpersonal skills.
• A positiveand proactive approach to teamwork.

Desirable:
• Experienceworking with young people in education, youth work, or voluntary settings.
• Interestin outdoor education, leadership development, or military-style training.
• Previousexperience in the armed forces or cadet organisations (not required).
• Availabilityto attend occasional weekend trips or overnight camps.
