What Your Role Is
The Category Trade Marketing Manager develops & leads the execution of the category agenda & shopper marketing plans at a local level as well as supporting some SRM initiatives. It is a dynamic and fast paced environment that you will be working in and you will have a positive, can-do approach.
You will work closely with market managers, the brand team & our distributor partners to drive distribution & visibility of our brands across key Northern European countries where we are emerging & establishing our products, for accelerated, long term growth. Key Responsibilities
- Category vision & strategy: adapt category vision/strategy maximizing local consumer/shopper insights according to the local trade scene.
- Portfolio & Assortment: Define & build the local assortment strategy identifying distribution opportunities & range gaps by market by leading Range Prioritisation planning. Track performance and action plan distribution course corrections & gap closures
- Commercial Joint Business Plans: Co-ordinate and work with Market Managers & Distributors on the annual preparation of the commercial Joint Business Plans
- In Store execution: Define & adapt the category point of purchase vision to develop best in class merchandising principles & grow the presence of our brands throughout the path to purchase. Develop POS toolkits for key market activations with selected distributors.
- Support Field Sales teams through target setting, sell in stories portfolio & merchandising guidance
- Innovation Launches: Lead the target setting for distribution & ROS by working with brand teams, Market Managers & Finance to validate NPD initiatives for the local markets.
- SRM: Develop guidance on RSPs & promotions. Provide supporting arguments & insights to execute SRM plans in the markets. Enhance capabilities by co-ordinating distributor information on promotional planning to link in with our brand plans and improve the visibility of the promo plans.
- Developing Category Capabilities: Work with central analytics team to strengthen & develop Category capabilities through tools & reports giving general guidelines for the sales fundamentals (4P activation - Merchandising, Price Indexes, Range, Activation)
- Creating insights to drive action as well as analytics to understand the root causes of performance
What You Will Bring To The Team
Qualifications
- University Degree in Business or related field
- 3+ years of Category Management experience preferably with a multinational/FMCG company
- Comfortable with uncertainty and hands-on approach
- Vision and breadth of understanding of the overall business/commercial context and the role of Category Management
- Strong analytical skills with an understanding of the principles of category management and experience of using Nielsen or similar insight tools.
- Comfortable with uncertainty and having a hands-on approach to make things happen.
- Able to work within a diverse team and be proactive to drive your agenda.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and oral communication skills in English
