Each day, our 2,500 plus colleagues bring their passion to our offices, manufacturing sites, R&D center, and commercial/distributor markets across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. We are energized by over 150 years of bringing people together with the food they love. With beloved brands Old El Paso, Häagen-Dazs, Nature Valley, Betty Crocker, Fibre One, Latina Fresh and more, we are on a mission to become the undisputed growth leader in food for EUAU. In a world that's ever-changing, we look to stay ahead and seek people who share our love of food and are hungry to shape the future.
About the job
We're looking for a commercially driven Category & Trade Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of category and shopper strategies in Germany across some of our most iconic brands, including Old El Paso, Häagen-Dazs, and Nature Valley.
This is a high-impact role where you'll shape how our brands win in-store and across channels - combining shopper insight, category strategy, and trade activation to drive growth in one of our key European markets.
Working closely with distributors, sales teams, and cross-functional partners, you'll play a critical role in translating global brand ambition into locally relevant, commercially effective execution.
What your role is
You'll lead the local category and trade marketing agenda, adapting global strategies to the German market and ensuring strong execution across all shopper touchpoints.
From defining portfolio and assortment strategies to shaping pricing and promotional plans, you'll use data and insight to identify opportunities and maximise performance across channels and customers.
You'll take ownership of in-store excellence, including shelving strategies and activation plans, ensuring our brands show up powerfully at the point of purchase. Alongside this, you'll drive below-the-line activation, including sampling, retail media, and shopper campaigns that convert demand into sales.
A key part of the role will be building strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and internal stakeholders, influencing plans and aligning teams around clear commercial priorities.
You'll also partner closely with sales to identify new channel opportunities and distribution gaps, helping unlock incremental growth across the market.
What you bring to the team
You bring 5+ years of experience in Category Management or Trade Marketing within FMCG, with a clear understanding of how to win in-store and drive shopper conversion in the German retail landscape.
You're highly analytical and comfortable working with data to identify trends, generate insights, and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations. At the same time, you're hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
You're a strong collaborator who can work effectively across matrix teams and external partners, building relationships and influencing outcomes. Your commercial mindset, combined with strong communication skills, enables you to engage stakeholders and drive alignment.
