Role overview
This role covers all aspects of financial and management accounting for certain SCIRIS Group Limited subsidiaries. It includes responsibility for the production of accurate management information of UK based subsidiaries, with a commercial finance element of supporting the budgeting and forecasting process. You'll also play a key role in supporting leadership to develop sound and robust financial controls and processes.
Key Responsibilities for the Finance Manager
You will be the primary finance contact for certain SCIRIS Group Limited subsidiaries. Your key responsibilities for these will be:
Accounting & Reporting:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for allocated entities, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Production of month end management information with supporting commentary, including monthly income statement and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensuring accurate and correct filings for VAT and periodic support on appropriate payroll taxes.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the agency and group function can meet its obligations.
- Supporting the processing of payroll, pensions, and other related matters.
- Assist with developing strategies to optimise cash flow and working capital.
Financial strategy and risk management:
- Collaborate with agency heads to align financial goals with overall group strategy.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Identify and manage financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
Other:
- Support the global group consolidation process.
- Improve system automation and efficiency.
- Support the forecasting and budgeting process.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Fully qualified - ACA / CIMA / ACCA, likely 2-5 years post qualification
- Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills are required
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines
- A track record of designing and rebuilding processes to support driving efficiencies
