Job Description

Managing multiple, concurrent projects in a fast-paced dynamic business critical category, you'll support the sourcing, procurement, contract assurance, implementation and post-contract management activities. You will co-ordinate end-to-end procurement management with a focus on Supplier Relationship Management and Sustainability. You'll be responsible for delivery of contract assurance including the delivery of best practice in respect to the drafting/editing/amending contracts and work packages and responsibility for monitoring contract compliance as part of contract and audit governance.

You'll support the creation and delivery of pre-contracting strategies, supplier negotiations, and supporting the Procurement governance process. Working closely with business stakeholders, you'll drive value for Heathrow to maximise delivery, minimise risk, delivery of benefits to the organisation through cost saving, fostering supplier relationships to drive compliance and improvement into Airport Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of robust contractual documentation including drafting and negotiation, liaising with our legal departments, category stakeholders and support services including the delivery of all centralised contract amendments for the category for both Services and Products
  • Maintaining effective category plans and developing innovative strategies which will be presented to relevant senior stakeholders, using creative commercial models, market leading technology and trends that will drive regulatory compliance and a competitive edge for the business
  • Constructively challenging business plans and strategy documents with stakeholders and peers to ensure robustness of approach that maximises commercial opportunity and mitigates risk.
  • Executing sourcing activity in line with Heathrow governance procedures, driving best in class behaviour
  • Maintaining agreed processes for supplier management, delivery and measurement of benefits, savings and continuous improvement targets whilst meeting all contract, regulatory, risk-reward and exit strategy requirements
  • Demonstrating data analytics for supplier performance, spend and contractual compliance

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience of multiple contracting models
  • Experience managing multiple and concurrent projects to meet business affordability targets and achievement of Key Performance Indicators through strong Supplier Relationship Management
  • Demonstrable Supplier Management experience

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Working knowledge of Aviation and associated supply chain(s), including Maintenance & Support, Product and Asset Management models and developing Innovation
  • Understanding of a complex airport operation with an appreciation for its interdependencies across the organisation representing Procurement
  • Experience with contractual documentation including bespoke contracts, Good and Services Frameworks, NEC based or similar industry standard contracts and relevant negotiation and drafting
  • Working towards professional qualifications e.g., MRICS, MCIPS, APM, CEng or willingness to commit to pursuing development and training

Working Location

Our agile approach offers the opportunity to combine home working with meetings, events and training at the airport. All roles involve some on-site working each week, so you'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
