YOUR ROLE

  • Develop the Channel & Category Strategy for some of our most ambitious growth channels: Value Retail & High Street
  • Lead Category Management projects following the Henkel Category Management 'Blueprint'.
  • Work to maintain and/or achieve Category captaincy to enable the business to drive and own the customer category agenda.
  • Champion and proactively lead 'shelf excellence' including range, fixture layout and POS creation to aid shopper navigation and increase penetration.
  • Work cross-functionally with Brand Marketing & Sales to identify opportunities for growth within the categories.
  • Create compelling category sell-in stories consulting and in close collaboration with sales & brand marketing team e.g. for NPD
  • Initiate and execute Channel Audits & Channel Plans within the annual planning cycle.
  • Plan & coordinate yearly omni-channel shopper activation calendars (incl. merchandising planning) based on channel and brand plans.
  • Present and align the channel & shopper strategy and recommendations with the UK/IR Leadership Team
  • Manage and plan channel budget spend.
  • Manage and develop one direct report.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Degree educated (Bachelor or Master), ideally in related fields such as marketing & business
  • Knowledge of Value Retail/High Street channels & merchandising experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse big set of data while drawing key summary insights & recommendations
  • Experience with Nielsen/Gfk/Kantar/IRI/Dunnhumby/EPOS data
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: comfortable in challenging the status-quo with out-of-the-box and critical creative thinking
  • Team Player & Experience with managing a variety of stakeholders internally & externally (customers, agencies)
  • Able to foster strong customer relationships based on trust
  • Learning agility and high energy level
  • Naturally takes initiative and seen as a problem solver
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to various levels of seniority
  • Excellent command of MS Office
