Our Category Re-Profiling (CRP) team is essential in providing the commercial expertise and customer insights that give our UK retail businesses a sustainable competitive advantage. As a Category Management Coach, you will be at the forefront of this mission, helping to translate customer insights into an optimised retail offer.
In this exciting role, you will lead virtual teams across various functions, including trading, multichannel, brand, merchandising, supply, marketing, and insights. Your skills in relationship building, commercial acumen, analytical thinking, and project management will empower you to implement impactful category management practices that enhance our customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise and lead cross-functional projects, curating insights and tactical retail recommendations while facilitating engaging workshops.
- Inspire and coach trading teams to develop profitable, customer-led recommendations that maximise business value.
- Ensure the quality of customer and financial inputs in projects, identifying opportunities and trade-offs without compromising the customer offer.
- Demonstrate flexibility in shaping our approach to category management best practices.
- Share external market insights and competitor knowledge to enhance team performance.
What You'll Need to Have:
- Proven ability to coach in a dynamic commercial environment, empowering teams to achieve world-class category management objectives.
- A strong track record in a commercially focused role, ideally within retail or FMCG.
- Exceptional relationship management and project management skills, with the ability to inspire and engage others.
- Strong analytical and numerate skills, enabling you to create compelling narratives from data and insights with a customer focus.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a numerate discipline.
