Role: Product Owner - Payment Gateway

We are seeking a Product Owner to join our Smartpay Advance team, driving the delivery of seamless omnichannel payment experiences through our payment gateway. You will collaborate closely with the Product Manager and cross-functional teams to translate strategic payment initiatives into actionable deliverables that align with business goals and customer needs.

As a key member of the Ways to Pay team, you will manage the product backlog, define user stories, and prioritize features that enhance our payment capabilities for corporate merchants.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with engineering, compliance, operations, and commercial teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
• Delivery Oversight: Partner with delivery teams to ensure timely and high-quality implementation of payment features.
• Customer Focus: Represent the voice of the customer throughout product development, ensuring solutions meet user needs and deliver business value.
• Market Awareness: Stay informed on payment trends, regulatory changes (e.g., PSD2, PCI-DSS), and competitor offerings to inform product decisions.
• Agile Practices: Operate within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), participating in PI planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in a fintech or payments environment
• Strong understanding of payment methods and gateway technologies relevant to corporate merchants
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or SAFe environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience working with third-party payment providers or technology partners
• Familiarity with omnichannel commerce and digital payment ecosystems
• Exposure to product delivery from concept to live client use
