Capacity Planning - Regional Lead, EU Labour Planning

The goal of Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is to build a world class last mile operation. Amazon aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders are delivered quickly, accurately, and in the most cost effective way possible. The Capacity Planning Team provides AMZL with cost-optimal and flexible capacity solutions for in-station operations, year-round and enabling the business to scale for seasonal peak demand increases. This role is based out of the London corporate office.

In order to support the fast growth of AMZL, we are constantly monitoring, evaluating and adjusting our planning inputs and insights. As an Analytics & Insights Manager in the Capacity Planning Team, you will lead a team of analysts in translating key strategic questions into insights and forecasting planning inputs, having a direct impact on decision making of the team to ensure we are constantly improving our planning quality and processes.

This position requires high judgement, excellent analytical abilities and a creative mind to invent solutions to existing problems. It also offers broad exposure to various business, operational, financial, and technical teams across Amazon. Key responsibilities:
• Produce weekly UTR (under the roof) labour plans for your regional, providing an unconstrained outlook whilst making trade-offs for cost efficiency.
• Translate key strategic questions into projects, identifying requirements and relevant stakeholder groups
• Develop insights from the historical trends, including reports and documents, share and interpret those learnings with senior leadership
• Actively explore and design scalable execution plans for long-term strategic planning opportunities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant experience as a Business/Financial Analyst, BI Engineer or Systems Analyst preferably in an internet-based company with large, complex data sources
• Intermediate to advance proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots, VBA) and SQL
• Experience in data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight)
• Ability to take complex business problems and translate them into clear and accurate results
• Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses
• Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results
• Strong verbal and written communications skills at an executive level that enable you to explain complex insights with clarity and precision.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Recent experience in complex cross-functional project management, handling multiple priorities, and influencing varied stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills: ability to understand, translate and integrate multiple data sources, design a project to test different hypotheses
• Strategic approach to research with a passion for translating data into actionable insights

• Strong communication skills and high degree of comfort with influencing and communicating findings to senior leadership
