The Opportunity
The National Retail Manager is responsible for the management of our retail and wholesale business ensuring Byredo client excellence standards are upheld. Key to the role is ensuring delivery of sales, profitability, KPI goals and business objectives. The National Retail Manager is a brand ambassador and leader of their teams and should uphold and champion our values, being accountable for leading their teams in delivering an exceptional and consistent customer experience in line with our service and brand proposition.
What you'll get to do
• Set and achieve sales and profitability targets for the UK, continuously motivating the retail teams to meet assigned sales, productivity and KPI goals
• Review profit and loss accounts by store with Managers to highlight opportunities, applying any necessary actions to drive sales and optimise costs
• Develop a strong recruitment and retention strategy for the UK and POS
• Ensure team members maintain constant client communication using clienteling and CRM and are actively building database, using information to increase sales and build customer loyalty
• Collaborate with Account Managers and other HQ functions to identify and implement local opportunities to raise brand awareness and desirability to drive sales, maximise opportunities and grow regional customer base
• Ensure sales teams maximise profitability through commercial stock management, visual merchandising, replenishment and adhering to policies incl. perfect grooming and procedures
• Coach the team and strongly collaborate with the Education lead to upskill the team and drive even better results collectively and individually
• Be the leader and owner of the performance in the UK, feed management with regular and valuable insights on the performance and corrective actions ; Communicate opportunities and risks to HO teams regularly as soon as identified
• Ensure 100% compliance and accuracy
• Undertake and record regular business meetings with retailer department/store managers, present business strategy updates including promotional programs and review consultant performance
• Negotiate appropriate local opportunities for events, additional sites, windows & Beauty Rooms as directed by HQ
• Support the development of team's product knowledge and sales techniques using the company service steps to ensure consistency delivery of exceptional customer service
• Ensure the team provide the highest level of customer service in line with the company service steps offering a unique and personalised experience, across all treatments and services
• Collaborate with Marketing to manage and execute customer events, new products launches and centre/in store events
• Empower sales teams to make decisions in the customer's best interest that also support the company's values and proposition
• Uphold the company image by enforcing high standards of counter visual merchandising
• Create and motivate strong in store teams that work together to meet and exceed KPI's
• Develop a culture of individual accountability and business ownership, with a focus on achievement and performance, behaviours and compliance to policies and procedures
• Define the optimum field needs and structure for the field
• Recruit the best talent timely, with a a clear succession plan for key roles across your area
• Through regular assessment of KPI's in partnership with the Education team, identify ongoing needs and develop our sell out service to improve performance
• Work in collaboration with the Education Lead to deliver training in line with company expectations to ensure the highest standards of service and upskill your teams
• Keep up to date of market trends and competitor activity and share knowledge with the teams
We'd love to meet you if you have
• Previous experience as a Regional/Area Manager leading a team in a multi-site, fast-paced store environment
• Confident in leading and developing managers and teams
• Commerciality and proven history of driving sales and maintaining profitability
• The ability to analyse business performance and drive KPIs with a view to grow sales
• The ability to create and maintain a luxury service experience
• Good people skills with emphasis on leading and building teams and fostering cross functional relationships
• Proactive with a strong sense of autonomy
• Action oriented and able to distance manage effectively with strong ER experience
• Takes ownership and delivers
