As a Business Services Manager, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of all activities delivered by the Business Services function. This will include the line management of the business services team and providing direct support to the Head of Property & Business Services Manager.
You will:
- Manage the Business Services team ensuring they discharge their responsibilities in a professional and timely manner to achieve an excellent standard of customer service.
- Have responsibility for the ongoing support and development of the Business Services team including the setting and monitoring of objectives, development and agreement of PDPs and the completion of annual performance reviews.
- Be the supplier relationship manager for several key business services accounts that provide services to the Society. Inc. Catering, Office Consumables and Travel & Accommodation.
- Work with the appropriate stakeholders to act as the lead for a range of business-related events taking responsibility for the coordination of all relevant department related services.
- Develop and maintain detailed management information for the Business Services function.
- Have an in depth understanding of the Society's Business Service requirements and can act as the point of escalation as a subject matter expert for more complex issues and queries that may arise.
- Adhere to all relevant regulatory rules and guidance applicable to the role.
- Have responsibility to maintain required standards of the Conduct Rules at all times in accordance with prevailing regulatory requirements.
- Maintain full awareness of and conformance to the Risk Management Framework including but not limited to the Information Security and Data Governance supporting frameworks.
- Create an open and inclusive culture, with highly engaged colleagues, delivering required performance management, development and communication actions.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience of managing and working with external suppliers
- Some people management experience desirable
- Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
- Excellent ICT skills, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience of budget and invoice management
- Excellent organisational, diagnostic, planning and practical skills
- Highly customer focused
- Ability to coordinate and manage individuals across multiple work streams
- Experience of event management
