Business Relationship Manager (Club / Network Distribution)| Mortgages

This is a hybrid role working 2 to 3 days in the office (City of London location) and the other days from home.
Role Purpose:
- To support lending activity across the mortgage function, through the effective use of telephone and online sales activity. Maintain and grow an allocated pool of Brokers through proactive outbound telephony activity ensuring a relationship is built with them and regular contact is provided to ensure they are aware of UTB's proposition
- To also work closely with the wider Sales and Key Accounts team to ensure delivery of both commercial (annual origination targets) and service objectives (completion of tasks aligned to broker service level agreements)
Responsibilities:
- Undertake a proactive contact strategy for new/existing brokers in a region, taking into account broker segmentation (Tier 1-3). (Regional coverage will be aligned to one of the Field BDMs/Key Accounts)
- Responsible for the management of a broker portfolio which focuses upon the top 101-500 specialist broker firms within Club/Network distribution in aim of driving new registrations, DIPs and FMAs business
- To work closely with your field BDM/Key Account colleague to deliver a jointly owned FAM/origination target
- Support the Sales and Key Account team to achieve team-wide targets
- To be in charge of daily new news, resolving DIP fails, welcome call activity and brokers who have not submitted FMAs within your region within the last 3 months, to deliver effective 'panel management' within your region, optimising proactive sales time
- Participate in monthly calling campaigns led by corporate accounts to support a specific distributor
- Participate in sales meetings on the success of marketing initiatives, enquiries, sales and application volumes
- Proactively sell the Bank, Mortgage Brand and Products USP's on every call through the use of straplines
- Provide reactive telephone based support to brokers who have telephone and email based enquiries
- Gather market intelligence re competitor movements and share with Intermediary support team
- Occasional representation may be required at trade roadshows and broker workshops/events
- Adhere to internal policy and regulatory requirements
Skills and Experience sought:
Essential Experience/skills
- 2+ years' experience within a mortgage lending, sales or broking based environment
- Strong relationship management experience
- Understanding of the regulatory environment
Desirable Experience/skills
- Full drivers license
- Understanding of the customer sales to servicing lifecycle
