About the Project

We are pleased to be launching Prometheus - a Transformation Program to put in place a Global Template solution, informed by the discovery phase, that will:

  • Define consistent business processes for Brand Homes
  • Simplify the core technology platform that enables these business processes.
  • Enable core integrations with other key systems in the technology ecosystem like SAP, Secutix, Adyen, CDP (Treasure Data), Open Table

This Global template called "Brand Home in a Box" will be a living platform that will evolve with every release, ensuring we continue to bring best practices shaped by evolving consumer preferences and technology trends into its fold, and delivering on Brand Homes' mission to build high value, highly personalised relationships between our brands, our consumers, and the communities we serve through deeply immersive experiences.

We must start somewhere and the foundational version of the Global template to be delivered by Prometheus will focus on the LS Central Application encompassing, Retail, F&B, Event, Back-office. Over subsequent releases, it will evolve to incorporate additional end to end capabilities across areas, such as, omnichannel, loyalty, data, activations. It will also be made available to more Brand Homes globally.

About the Role

The Business Process Owner (BPO) is a multifaceted role that is crucial for ensuring the successful integration of the new operating system into the Brand Home operations. They will ensure the seamless Integration of the system processes with existing processes and functions within the organization, or where there is no existing processes, design document and embed a new process in collaboration with Subject Matter experts (SME's). They will collaborate with business Stakeholders and SME's to understand process requirements, gaps and areas of improvement to improve the efficiency, compliance and profitability of the brand experiences. They will also ensure the effective incorporation of Diageo processes into the brand homes processes.

You will be responsible for:

Process Documentation

  • Design, document, and maintain comprehensive process maps and workflows.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
  • Implement best practices and lean methodologies to optimize processes.

Critical Thinking

  • Studying and analysing existing processes, identifying improvements that could be made with the implementation of LS Central.
  • Whereby processes aren't affected by LS Central, requirement is still to review, update and implement process when there is a requirement for it.

Training and Support

  • Work with existing L&D teams and Implementation partner to ensure the processes are embedded across all functions in the brand home operations.

Financial Responsibilities:

The business process owner is accountable for the successful integration of the LS Central application into our brand homes operation which is a multi-million investment by the Diageo business. Over 7000+ hours have been invested in the taskforce that preceded this project. The financial accountabilities of a business process owner (BPO) encompass several key responsibilities related to managing and overseeing the financial aspects of their specific business process. These responsibilities ensure that the process is cost-effective, aligns with the organization's budgetary constraints, and contributes to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key financial accountabilities include:

  • Making recommendations and decisions on budget reallocations or adjustments as necessary based on performance and changing needs. Implementing strategies and initiatives to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the process without compromising quality or performance.
  • Defining and tracking key financial metrics related to the business process, such as labour cost, return on investment (ROI), and overall financial performance.
  • Providing regular financial updates to stakeholders, including detailed analyses of costs, savings, and financial impacts of process improvements. Identifying and assessing financial risks associated with the business process, including potential cost overruns and financial impacts of process failures.
  • Ensuring that the business process complies with relevant financial regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
  • Identifying opportunities for improving the financial efficiency of the business process, including optimizing resource utilization, and reducing unnecessary expenditures

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Educated to Leaving Cert/High School Level
  • Fluent English Speaker
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Strong Computer Literacy and base understanding of technical architecture
  • Exceptional Communicator
  • Commercially minded
  • Project Management experience or knowledge
  • A strong team player with the dexterity to support colleagues and work collaboratively with vendors
  • Inquisitive with the ability to use own initiative to solve problems in a methodical manner.
  • Hands on individual, keen to work closely with stakeholders to deliver a tailored solution to match business requirements.
  • Highly organized and efficient individual with methodical approach to problem solving and a keen eye for detail.
  • Clear presenter, able to articulate key messages to a diverse audience.
  • Able to deal with difficult situations or individuals with sensitivity and diplomacy
  • Experience in a retail, hospitality, F&B, entertainment venue or brand experience.
  • Prior experience of process management and improvement.
  • Strong strategic perspective with the capability to translate high-level objectives into actionable process improvements.
  • Experience in Analytical and problem-solving roles.
  • Excellent skills in the areas of leadership, coaching, mentoring, motivating, and communicating consistently. Very strong interpersonal skills.
  • Initiative- Can use own initiative to deliver project objectives.
  • Flexibility- Able to perform in an ever-changing environment, is highly energetic and dynamic, vigilant, and attentive.
  • Teamwork- Ability to work with large teams who are totally focused on providing an excellent outcome.
