Business Insights Manager
Location: Hemel Hempstead (Hybrid)

About the role:
As Business Insight Manager, you will ensure that channel, category and commercial plans are grounded in fact and genuine insight. You will provide an external view of performance, both retrospective and future-focussed, that helps define the 3-year channel strategy and ensures Britvic are targeting the most valuable opportunities. You will be the go-to expert on the external data and insight for your stakeholders.
The GB Business Insight team has three Business Insight Managers, one per channel (Grocery & Discounters, Convenience & Impulse, Foodservice & Licensed), reporting into the Senior Business Insight Manager. The team sits within the wider Value Strategy team with a dotted line into the Global Insights function.
On a day to day basis you will lead & manage Britvic data and insight strategy alignment to GB priorities for the Grocery & Discounters channel. You will generate genuine insight about our brand and competitor performance based on external inputs as well as support the retail commercial planning process (AOP), including market mapping, the setting of channel targets and forecasts review, state of the nation, and opportunity identification.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- Commercial experience, with experience of working in insight/ data - client or agency side
- Experience working on FMCG brands in either Category, Insight or agency team (food & beverage sector desirable but not essential)
- Strong numeracy skills and ability to interpret data from a range of data sources (continuous and adhoc)
- Ability to articulately deliver data - observation - insight - action/ recommendation, with clear reasoning and judgement, and demonstrating strong commercial acumen
- Good communication skills (written & oral) with an ability to influence others across different levels within an organisation
- Experience of application of core continuous insight sources (e.g. Kantar, Nielsen, IRI, CGA, brand tracking) to identify key issues and opportunities
- Strong analytical skills - ability to triangulate multiple sources of information to reveal compelling and actionable consumer insights, and to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication skills (written & oral) with an ability to tell simple and compelling stories that make an impact and inspire action in others.
