Business Improvement and Project Manager (Course Administration)

Fixed term for 12 months, 37 hours per week

We are seeking to appoint a Business Improvement and Project Manager for our Course Administration Team, as part of a transformational change project which sees the convergence of teams formerly based in academic schools and central services.

This is a pivotal role in the effective transformation of course administration, with an initial focus on how we deliver a consistent and rationalised course administrative function to the different academic schools.

You will possess an analytical approach and either hold a Project Management qualification or have equivalent experience of managing projects in a complex organisation; and will be educated to degree level or with significant equivalent work experience.

Key duties include:

  • Managing a range of projects and initiatives
  • Provide project reporting and status to senior management
  • To envision and incorporate new ideas and initiatives, and ensure that these are implemented effectively by the course administration team and relevant stakeholders
  • To author and develop processes and procedures to meet the University's needs for course administration
  • To lead and facilitate cross university operational groups bringing together practitioners
  • To build genuine, open and productive relationships with stakeholders across the University to drive positive step-changes in service and react with agility to changing priorities

You will have extensive project management and/or business improvement experience and will be able to satisfy all other essential criteria detailed in the person specification.
