Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable professional to support the growth of our Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) segment. This role is crucial for expanding our UK business and involves working closely with the leadership team to enhance our market profile, develop key client relationships, and drive revenue growth.
This position supports the ongoing growth of Turner & Townsend's ENR segment, aiming to be a catalyst in the UK's transition to clean energy. The successful candidate will help shape strategies, set up, and deliver major projects and programs that ensure the responsible use of natural resources, decarbonize industries, and promote a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the leadership team to provide strategic guidance on market positioning and client engagement.
- Develop and implement strategies to raise the market profile of the ENR segment.
- Foster and maintain relationships with prospective and key clients.
- Support revenue growth through targeted marketing campaigns, communications, bidding processes, and key client activities.
- Contribute to the development of clear strategies and provide tactical support for various initiatives.
Role Requirements:
Sector and Service Growth:
- Develop and implement sector BG plans and key services plans, working with the Head of ENR, sector leads, service leads, and reporting to the UK Head of Business Generation.
- Support sector leads/service leads to execute sector/service plans with regional teams, including identifying key accounts and future targets, undertaking timely reporting, and championing opportunity pipelines and marketing activities.
- Support cross-selling and awareness of the service delivery model and initiatives.
- Capture service and sector best practices via case studies, CVs, collateral, and other mediums.
- Promote best practices within sector community groups.
Client Growth:
- Work with Turner & Townsend Key Client Leads to support the development of client propositions and client plans. This includes providing hands-on support to convert opportunities, undertake research, compile reporting, and contribute to proposition development and brand-enhancing activities.
- Ensure alignment with the Global Key Client Programme methodology and leverage appropriate tools.
Bid Leadership:
- Manage large/complex pitches, advising on pitch strategy and execution.
- Proactively monitor and influence the conversion of bids through analyzing and disseminating reporting and capturing best practices.
- Support the development and capture of bidding tools, case studies, and CVs.
- Champion the Bid to Win process and deliver bid training to bid teams.
- Support positioning activities for business-critical pursuits.
Marketing and Communications:
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns for sectors.
- Consider and advise on ROI for marketing activities.
- Provide support and advisory regarding awards, media relations, social media, collateral, marketing channels, and associated profile-raising activities with the Global Business Generation function.
- Champion the Turner & Townsend 'BG for everyone' approach.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Deep understanding and passion for the Energy and Natural Resources sector.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, marketing, and client relationship management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with leadership teams and provide actionable insights.
Skills and Capabilities:
- Experience across business development, marketing and bidding in a professional services environment, ideally within the built environment
- Degree educated or CIM qualified
- Able to prioritise and manage multiple and tight deadlines
- Able and eager to provide both strategic and tactical support
- Agile and able to operate in an entrepreneurial environment
- Strong copywriting skills and ability to identify and shape key messages
- Communicates credibly and effectively about the infrastructure market, and marketing/ BD best practice
- Has strong attention to detail and believes accuracy to be important
- Ability to engage with and influence Board level stakeholders and external contacts
- Ability to lead meetings effectively to achieve desired outcomes
- Ability to operate in a team or individually and take responsibility for achieving specific tasks or outcomes
- Understanding of ENR marketplace
