Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and ambitious Business Generation Manager. This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of campaigns that drive business generation activities across our UK Advisory teams. The primary goal is to drive business growth and enhance our market presence through effective campaign management, bid support and driving social media interaction.

This position's primary objective is to support the UK Advisory Managing Director and teams (Contract Services, Sustainability, Health & Safety) and the Senior Campaign Manager

The Business Generation Manager will be responsible for promoting the teams' propositions and products to the market, leveraging our key client programme and Segment and sector-specific strategies.

Our teams are involved in some of the most complex and interesting programmes in the UK, shaping the infrastructure, real estate, and energy and natural resources investment that supports regional growth. This is a hands-on role where you will assist in the development and execution of marketing activities, support the creation of promotional materials, and help manage events that drive business generation opportunities.

This role requires a commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning and development. You will play an important role in supporting growth and contributing to strategic business initiatives, ensuring activities are well-coordinated across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for driving the Advisory Brand Plan working with the Senior Campaign Manager, Business Generation Managers and Regional BG Managers.
  • Assist in the roll-out and delivery of UK-wide marketing campaigns on new products and propositions.
  • Organise and manage events to promote our services and engage with clients.
  • Identify opportunities with membership organisations to maximise our reach, build our credibility, and create opportunities for new business.
  • Lead on best practice initiatives, including the creation of case studies. Work closely with our Knowledge Manager and the bidding teams to extract best practice and ensure it is shared with the teams on new products and propositions for inclusion in our bid responses.
  • Utilise digital platforms such as LinkedIn and Dot Digital to execute marketing activities. Must be proficient in using M365 and capable of suggesting new tools to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and measurement.
  • Develop a sector-focused approach to marketing and business generation.
  • Understand the bid pipeline and proactively position the team to win future bids by staying ahead of trends and positioning activities.
  • Track and report on campaign success, contributing to the production of quarterly board cycles, and support the Senior Campaigns Manager in gathering information to demonstrate impact.
  • Lead smaller campaigns to build skills and experience.
  • Work closely with the UK communications team to promote activities and cascade opportunities into campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other Senior Campaigns Managers/Business Generation Managers to ensure activities are aligned and opportunities are identified and leveraged.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Strong skills in using digital marketing tools and platforms, including M365.
  • Ability to suggest new tools to enhance marketing effectiveness, efficiency, and measurement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to develop new ideas for marketing and business generation.

Education and Experience:

Recognised professional qualification or equivalent experience in the required skills areas, which may be a degree or qualification in business administration. Level of experience in similar roles and candidate aptitude is, however, more important.
