Overview
The Director role is an all-rounder; a strategic, leadership position within SSW. The Director is responsible for a large team of people, a large revenue base and portfolio of clients. You will collaborate with the Group Managing Director (GMD) in the decision making for the business direction and vision with a long-term goal of creating growth. You are a leader of leaders and a mentor of leaders across other disciplines; people seek you out for strategic counsel and you inspire people to follow you. You are a safe and trusted leader in the now but you have a constant eye on the future. You have an action-oriented focus on how we succeed into the future on all aspects of the discipline (understanding industry trends, how they impact us and putting strategies in place to mitigate risks and drive opportunities).
Responsibilities
The Director is a senior leadership partner to the GMD and leadership team, with meaningful ownership across clients, revenue, people and future direction.
They will:
- Own a significant portfolio of clients and revenue and actively expand it
- Drive ambitious growth: organic, cross-sell, long-term value creation and new business conversion
- Build senior client partnerships rooted in trust, challenge and strategic authority
- Create the conditions for high performance: develop leaders, build strong teams, and role-model a culture of belief and ambition
- Help shape and deliver the long-term direction of Saatchi & Saatchi Health (capability evolution, decision-making clarity, risk/opportunity sensing)
- Own commercial performance: revenue, profitability and forecasting using financial insight to unlock momentum, not create constraint
This role is about commercial leadership, client influence, and culture-building with a constant eye on what the business can become.
Qualifications
- Proven experience within Health, wellness, science and pharma businesses
- You embody the three Vs: you are a visible, vocal, and visionary leader
- You have proven experience showing revenue growth across a number of years
- You have a growth mindset and have successfully sought out opportunities and led and converted new business opportunities
- You are a strategic thinker with an excellent understanding of key industry influences and the ability to apply this thinking to a variety of clients and products
- You are an exceptional relationship builder with the ability to operate at a senior and strategic level with key clients and help resolve issues smoothly and effectively
- You are an excellent leader of people with an ability to inspire, motivate, mentor, and build commitment
- You will be a problem-solver, independently finding and implementing solutions and developing ways for the business to evolve, improve, grow
- You are able to evaluate risk, trends, and opportunities
- You can demonstrate stamina, drive and proactivity with an ability to do what is needed to "just get stuff done" over any obstacles
- You are a self-starter who is confident in your own abilities and decision making and who applies a growth mind-set to your own professional development.
