Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Travel Essentials team. This role will focus on building and maintaining strategic partnerships with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs), and Airport Suppliers. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding our travel essentials offerings, such as international eSIM and mobile data packages to enhance our customers' travel experiences.
In this Role, you'll be responsible for:
- Partnership Development: Identify, negotiate, and secure partnerships with MNOs and MVNOs globally. Maintain strong relationships to ensure long-term collaboration and mutual growth.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on business partnership activities, market trends, and performance metrics for senior management.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with company strategy and objectives. Manage the end-to-end process from initial contact to contract signing.
- Market Expansion: Develop and implement strategies to expand the availability and reach of travel essentials products, driving market share growth in key regions.
- Market Research: Conduct ongoing research on industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in the telecom sector. Use this information to inform strategy and drive innovation.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly review and analyze partner performance metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to improve outcomes and maximize ROI.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure seamless integration and execution of different projects.
- Product Enhancement: Collaborate with partners to develop and launch new products or services that meet the needs of travelers. Provide market insights to optimize product offerings and enhance customer satisfaction.
What you'll Need to Succeed:
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel as required to meet with partners and attend industry events.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of mobile network operations, international roaming, and telecom regulations. Familiarity with travel essentials products like eSIM is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the telecom industry with a focus on MNOs and MVNOs. Experience in the travel industry/OTA is a plus.
