Business Development Manager (Sponsorship Sales)

LSX Leaders -The Network for Life Science Executives is an influential community of senior life science decision makers that produces world class content, conferences and events for C-suite executives, investors and pharma, medtech and big tech deal makers.

With initiatives held across Europe and North America, we leverage our international network to create an impactful programme of high-level conferences, forums, showcases and networking events, that provide domestic and cross-border opportunities for start-ups through to publicly-listed companies, pharma / commercial leaders and the wider investment community.

The company performed exceptionally well during the pandemic and the pivot to virtual events and has successfully navigated the return to in-person and hybrid events in 2022 and 2023. In mid 2023, the company was acquired by Informa and now forms part of the Informa Connect life science division. The last 18 months have been the best sales months in the companies history and we are now looking for a vital new member of the team to join our sales force and help further grow our portfolio.

You will be responsible for selling sponsorship and exhibition packages across our portfolio of events, focussing in particular on our Medtech and Healthech conferences and our work in the Nordics.

You'll need to be organised, extremely proactive, adaptable, professional and personable and you'll need to relish a demanding fast-moving environment and opportunities to work outside your comfort zone and learn new skills. Most of all you'll need to be an exceptional team player - always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a task gets done.

Qualifications

  • Experience working successfully in either event delegate or sponsorship sales (minimum of 1 year delegate sales experience if no sponsorship sales experience)
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously
  • Proactive, adaptable and happy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with face to face selling
  • Demonstrable track record of hitting and exceeding personal or professional goals/targets
