Job Description

This role is based in London

Omdia is seeking a dynamic and driven salesperson to join our team in the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region. This important role will support the commercial growth at Omdia, one of one the world's largest and most influential analyst firms, through acquiring net-new business. Omdia, a key brand within Informa TechTarget, is a research subscription and consulting business specialising in Service Provider, Media, Technology, Manufacturing and Semiconductor. To further grow in 2025 and beyond, we're looking for a sales professional to join our EMEA New Business Team.

The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Sales Director and will be focused on net-new sales of our subscription products in the EMEA market, with particular focus on technology clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the technology sector, strong background in prospecting & acquiring new logos, and a familiarity with sales tools to support this. Experience in adjacent sectors such as telecommunications and media would also be valued.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Acquisition:

  • Prospecting new logos as well as new revenue streams from existing customers
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying potential clients.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our solutions and address client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to customize proposals and solutions that align with client requirements.

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business challenges and proposing tailored solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Sales Targets and Reporting:

  • Deliver on sales targets and work towards exceeding them, contributing to the overall company revenue goals.
  • Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management.
  • Utilise CRM tools for efficient pipeline management and reporting.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing, to align strategies and enhance offerings.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to share market insights and contribute to product/service enhancements.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in frontline sales with demonstrated success.
  • Track record in navigating complex sales cycles and consistently meeting or exceeding sales KPIs.
  • Proven success in growing key accounts and securing new business with a focus on market intelligence subscription, renewals, cross-sell/upsell and analyst services.
  • Proven expertise in the technology sector, with an established network of clients.
  • Language skills will be looked on highly favourably to support our healthy base of international clients and prospects.
  • Informa TechTarget offers a balanced working schedule with an expectation of three days per week in the office or spending time face-to-face with clients and colleagues.
